I have always been in love with music, but not much of a participant. When I was surprised with a new guitar one day, a whole new world opened up to me. In that world, I found a desire to understand how a guitar worked, and what made it sound the way it did. I can't say that I have an answer yet, but I have definitely enjoyed the journey.
This site is, in some ways, a catalog of my journey. I describe many of the instruments I have built, some briefly, and some in quite detail. I show many of the techniques I have used, adopted, or abandoned, and some of the reasoning behind some of the more radical designs I have created. Where I have been able, I have recorded some sound samples of the instruments I have built. Please...explore and enjoy.
